Ethos Team

Hello everyone,

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas. As usual we had a fabulous time celebrating in school whilst remembering the true meaning that Jesus was the greatest gift of all.

Our annual carol service was a great success and Y2 did a fantastic job performing their nativity ‘The Inn spectors. They also performed at the senior citizens party in the church hall. Our school choir were fantastic. The choir also visited Shawcross nursing home to sing carols to the residents and also sang at The Hamlet at Three Sisters, everyone enjoyed it.

Y5 also did a fabulous production of I had a dream. It was amazing, what talented children we have at St Thomas’s.

Amongst all the celebrations we found time to think of those less fortunate than us and on Christmas dinner day we brought donations for the local food bank. We also did the Samaritan’s Purse shoe box collection and would like to thank all those who filled a shoe box for children over the world who are not as lucky as us.

In November we had our SIAMS (RE) inspection. We were delighted to be excellent across all areas that the inspector looked at. This is the highest grade the inspector could give.

This term has been amazing as Saturday FM achieved the Church School Partnership Award 3 and school also achieved the Christian Aid Bronze Award.

We look forward to a busy spring term and will keep you informed through the website and parish magazine.

Happy New Year from the Ethos Team
